Update – Border Closure Relief Program
 
The Queensland Premier has announced an updated support package (with Federal support) for Queensland businesses that are affected by the border closure and the Delta outbreak in NSW. As usual, there will be more detailed information to follow, but for a now a brief summary:
 
Grants:
Extending the existing program with additional funding of between $1,000 and $10,000 for business with a 30% reduction in turnover for a 7-day period from 14-August 2021 (SEQ, Cairns, and Yarrabah lockdowns).
 
Tourism and Hospitality Hardship:
One-off cash grants of $15,000, $25,000, and $50,000 for employing businesses across Queensland with a reduction of 70% for 7-days between 1 July and 30 September 2021.
 
Hardship Grants:
Businesses including sole traders that have already received a COVID-19 Business Support Grant will be eligible for the new grant of up to $5,000 from mid-October. This is likely to be border zone businesses only.
