Queensland Government Business Growth Fund – Round 3

Good Morning,

The Queensland Government recently announced round 3 of its Business Growth Fund (BCF); which targets high-growth businesses who can accelerate their growth to aid the economy and workforce. Funding is aimed to assist small to medium sized businesses in purchasing specialized equipment to benefit growth potential, production, profits and expand their workforce.
The funding is a single up-front payment of up to $50,000 and there will be a competitive assessment process which involves mentoring and pitching to business experts. The grant must be used to purchase specialized equipment and have a direct link to increasing employment and economic returns.
The grant is for small to medium sized businesses that have high-growth potential for the next 2 years and meet the following criteria:

  • Trading history of at least 3 years at the time of application
  • Minimum turnover of $500,000 for the previous financial year
  • Employ fewer than 50 employees at the time of application
  • Active Australian Business Number (ABN) and GST registration
  • Headquarters based in Queensland
  • Competitive opportunities in domestic or international markets
  • Experiencing growth and clearly have defined high-growth and employment opportunities in Queensland, AND
  • Not be insolvent or have owners/directors that are an undischarged bankrupt

Businesses can commence applications from 11 May 2021, after first completing a Mentoring for Growth session.
